Eric Hawn

Currently living just North of London ON, I am married and have three wonderful children. Family is at the core of who I am as a person, and why I do what I do. I’ve always felt the need to serve, which is what led me to a career in the Canadian Armed Forces, but my dedication to serve my family is just as great. I thoroughly enjoy the juggling act of being a parent; combining being a father, mentor, teacher, friend and villain. Its never easy, but its always worth it. I love every minute of watching my kids grow. I know that we continue to learn from each other and as we grow as individuals, we grow stronger as a family.

For 17 years, I enjoyed a career as an Army Engineer Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. I’ve held many different positions in multiple organizations with the Forces, but the focus has always been centered on leadership. I’ve held multiple command positions and completed multiple Army courses throughout my career. I’ve deployed twice, in very different roles and would be happy to share those experiences when we meet in person! My experience as an Army Engineer Officer stems from the Counter – Improvised Explosive Device capability.

The uniqueness of this niche is that it forces you to think outside the box, and create innovative solutions to complex problems. It taught me the importance of first principle thinking, something I’ve carried over into my new business. By truly understanding the problem, the solution becomes simple. As I’ve grown throughout my career, I’ve come to truly appreciate the value of mentorship and coaching. I believe it’s the duty of all leaders to take the time to develop your subordinates. When you increase each individuals’ capabilities, the capabilities of the team grow exponentially. This is the foundation to our mission at Endurys, by spending the time to coach and mentor each individual client, the capability of the community grows exponentially. My experiences have taught me the value of a strong set of ethos. I believe strongly in honesty, respect and innovation.

Starting Endurys Wealth Solutions sees a change in course career wise, but my mission remains the same. Just as it was while I was in uniform, I remain committed to serving each and every person in Canada in creating the best world possible.
